Want to order a Boerenbox, but not seeing any for sale?
We do not take orders between Monday 13.00 hours and Tuesday evening. This is to avoid confusion regarding pick-up times. If you are not seeing a Boerenbox on Monday or Tuesday, please check our website again at a later moment. If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to send us a message at email@example.com.
About the Boerenbox
No, all of the recipes we use are vegetarian, but may include by-products such as eggs, dairy, and honey. However, do let us know if you would like to see (more) vegan recipes; we might use more of them in the future!
That’s because we cut out the middlemen. Usually, farmers sell their products to distributors or agents, who in turn sell them to large retailers, e.g. supermarket chains. This lengthens the supply chain, meaning more transport movements (and thus C02), and a loss of freshness. Additionally, the bargaining power enjoyed by these large distributors puts pressure on individual farmers to produce and sell their products for the lowest possible price. At Boerenbox, we buy our products directly from local farmers, paying them a fair price and shortening the supply chain in the process.
Not at all. Your name is probably not Jamie Oliver, and ours isn’t either. We are all students who at some point had to learn how to cook (or are still in the process of doing so ..), so we make sure all our recipes are easy and fast.

Not yet. We are starting out with a single box that contains two servings of a single recipe. In the future, we might add boxes with different sized or contents. Keep an eye on our social media, and you’ll be among the first to know!

About payment and pickup
Yes, by having everyone order and pay in advance, we are trying to minimize waste.
We will send you an email with a link to Tikkie. You can pay for your Boerenbox using this method. We are working on a more permanent payment method. Please let us know if you prefer to pay for your Boerenbox in cash.
You can pick up your Boerenbox every Tuesday in the Refter between 15.00 and 16.30 hours. Check your confirmation email for further instructions.
All your products will be packed in a paper bag and ready to go, all you’ll have to do is carry it home with you. We do kindly ask you to bring some sort of identification, so we can check your name.
